Outboard and/or Jet Propulsion Motor Boat Training.

This
training is orientated towards Guiding in Alaska. There
are only 3
ways to travel in Alaska. Boats are one of the main sources
of transportation in many remote areas of Alaska. You either
fly in or use a boat to get to your destination. The most
popular type of boats used are flat-bottom full welded hulls
with Jet propulsion outboard engines. With this craft you
can navigate waters that are six inches in depth. It is
common for bars to move and shift. The Jet boats allow you
to skim the water to allow you to get over the bar with
just 6" of water or more. It sure beats having to drag
a heavy boat over that bar!
This
class is orientated to what you may experience in Alaska.
Alaska

Professional Guide. You get Alaska under your belt , you
can pretty much bet you will be the top candidate of any
Guide Job you apply for!
Alaska
waters are considered the most dangerous waters in the world.

may come up. Once you land a job in Alaska you will join
a small group of people who are esteemed Professional Guides
earning a living Guiding in Alaska as Professional Fishing
Guide. All Guides dream of being able to go to Alaska to
work. The Youghiogheny is a great river way to train future
Alaskan Guides because of the challenges it offers are very
similar to many of the water ways in Alaska. In addition
